From the moment a guest selects your WiFi to the point their verified email lands in your dashboard, here is exactly what happens at each stage.
User Connection & Splash Page Trigger
User selects free WiFi
When a guest enters your venue, their device detects and displays available WiFi networks. They select the free WiFi network provided by your venue.
Automatic redirection
Upon attempting to access any website, the guest's device is automatically redirected to your Fydelia captive portal splash page. This redirection is handled by your network hardware (router or access point), which is configured to intercept initial connection attempts. Fydelia's captive portal software layer detects the incoming connection and serves your pre-designed splash page.
Data Submission & Capture

The guest sees your branded splash page in their browser. This page informs them about the free WiFi access and presents a form requesting their details.
User input & email capture
The guest fills out the required fields and submits the form. The data is securely transmitted to our system, where we extract and store the email address. The email is verified automatically before WiFi access is granted.
WiFi Access & Data Association
Access grant
After successful submission, Fydelia authenticates the user and communicates with your network hardware to grant the guest's device access to the internet.
Data association
The captured email address and any other submitted data is associated with the guest's device. This enables recognition of returning visitors and tracking of visit frequency within your WiFi network.
Continued access
The guest enjoys free WiFi access. In the background, their email address remains stored within Fydelia for future marketing, communication, or analytics purposes, as per your privacy policy and applicable regulations.
